2nd Annual Suicide Prevention Awareness Art Contest

2nd Annual Suicide Prevention Awareness Art ContestBryLin Hospital’s 2nd Annual Suicide Prevention Awareness Art Contest

August 26, 2024: In recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month this September, BryLin Hospital is hosting its 2nd Annual Suicide Prevention Awareness Art Contest. Open to residents of Western New York, this contest offers a creative outlet for expressing thoughts and emotions related to suicide prevention and raising awareness about this critical issue.

Emphasizing Support:

Art is a powerful tool for communicating complex emotions and experiences. This year, we encourage participants to explore the theme of “You Are Not Alone” through their art. By focusing on the importance of support in mental health and suicide prevention, this contest aims to contribute to reducing the stigma surrounding these conversations.

We believe this Suicide Prevention Awareness Art Contest can serve as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue. Whether submitting or viewing these artworks, individuals may feel inspired to share their own experiences with mental health, suicide, or the experiences of their loved ones. The ultimate goal is to create an environment where these topics are discussed openly, and where support is offered and received without hesitation.

Submission Guidelines:

Qualified art can take various forms, including paintings, drawings, collages, or poems (or perhaps a written song). The winning entries will be showcased within BryLin Hospital, on the official website, and across social media platforms.
